Inspired by the Corn Doll “Durham Chandelier’ and antique Mochaware pottery, Dolly is a playful interpretation of the two crafts, taking the coiled earthworm pattern and the 3D spirals of the corn dolly shape to create a striking geometric pattern, harking back to much loved traditions. This cushion is printed on both sides and piped in a hand dyed contrast fabric. A zip runs along the bottom edge. A well filled feather pad is included. Pattern placement and colours may vary due to the hand made nature of this product.

As a small, independently owned business we charge all delivery fees at cost. This price also does not include any packaging costs. We work with small makers, many of whom can’t offer normal retail margins, so we are unable to absorb any shipping costs. We are always looking for new ways to reduce this charge, however we cannot currently do so in such a way that doesn’t impact on the viability of our business.
About Beki Bright
Beki Bright is a London based textile designer, screen printer and dyer creating artist designed textiles for the home. Beki offers a range of cushions, lampshades, wallpaper and fabric by the metre all of which have been hand screen printed and made in London. Beki’s work celebrates the English countryside. Having grown up in rural Suffolk and spent more recent years living in Somerset, she draws inspiration for her designs from these surroundings and the landscapes that encompass them. Her lived experiences of these spaces have led to a fascination with English folklore, county crafts, and rituals of the countryside all of which inform her work.
The textiles are designed to encourage lasting connections with customers. Beki’s distinctive drawings of sweeping landscapes, rolling hills, corn dollies and harvest celebrations combined with strong colour stories intend to evoke memories that will bring the ‘spirit of place’ into their everyday lives. Producing all of her work in London, Beki screen prints all designs by hand and all soft furnishings are based on natural linen or cotton drill. A very small production chain means complete oversight over designs from concept to completion, all being made to order to allow for minimal waste with any offcuts being repurposed into samples or used for packaging.

We also try to support new and emerging brands and makers. Most of our products are made in small production runs, by artisans or the designer themselves. Where larger manufacturers are involved we ensure that they adhere a fair and transparent supply chain and do not use sweatshops, trafficked, bonded, child or forced labour.
