British Colour Standard
Originally established in 1931, British Colour Standard used a digital colour reader that created and logged a profile for the many hundreds of colours used in design, taking inspiration from nature, flora and fauna, stones, spices and historic Royal colours used for coronations and special events. Out of use since the 1950’s, design team Jackie Piper and Victoria Whitbread, with their shared love of colour and material exploration, discovered this colour dictionary and began their journey to re-establish a long forgotten brand. Now 21st century ready, championing eco, sustainable and Fair Trade products, British Standard Colour are the go-to source for colour in paint and interior accessories throughout the UK.
