Chickpea

Chickpea was founded by textile designer and maker Harriett Grist, who began her business from her small garden studio in Winchester. Her biggest inspiration is her mother, a former dressmaker, who instilled in her the value of high quality hand made produce, and now works alongside her as a maker in her studio. Harriet’s designs and creations are influenced by the bold and vibrant textures and colours of the natural world, and her deep sense of “home” - the brand name, Chickpea stems from the affectionate nicknames her and her two sisters shared, “chicken” and “pea”.
