Melin Tregwynt

The Melyn Tregwynt Mill has been in operation in Wales since 1841, and continues to employ over 40 local Welsh weavers, who use the same traditional weaving techniques as when the mill opened. Founded in a remote wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast, the Melin Tregwynt Mill in its various iterations has been spinning the fleeces of local sheep into yarn since the 17th Century. They still weave their cloth in the old whitewashed mill, and traditional skills are still used, preserved and sustained. Their unique designs draw influence from traditional Welsh weaving, which dates back to the Middle Ages, and the family run business prides itself on the natural sustainability of their wool.
