About Soapsmith
Soapsmith started their journey in 2010. They were on a mission to reignite the almost lost craftmanship and manufacturing industry in the UK Capital. Beginning as a kitchen table hobby of artisanal soap making and scent creation, it has been transformed into a viable business.
Officially launching in 2012, following 2 years of continuous development, Soapsmith pays homage to the real craft of soap making, it would take as long as it takes. Almost 10 years on, Soapsmith has expanded, and now employs soapsmiths who all share the same passion for craft, quality and creativity as founder Samantha Jameson. Still based in Walthamstow, London they stay true to their roots in everything they do.
ABOUT LAMP LDN:
Our Mission
We are committed to providing a space where you can shop for beautiful products that have been made in a way that is sustainable for the planet and kind to the people on it.
We source our products from independent designers mostly in the UK and Europe. We always look for local (UK based) options before we look further afield. We also try to support new and emerging brands and makers. Most of our products are made in small production runs, by artisans or the designer themselves. Where larger manufacturers are involved we ensure that they adhere a fair and transparent supply chain and do not use sweatshops, trafficked, bonded, child or forced labour.
