Nutscene are located in the rural Scottish county of Angus, where they produce all of their twine using their original machinery, first used in 1922. This colourful Candy Twist Twine takes inspiration from traditional bakery packaging, where Scottish bakers would use attractive twines to tie their boxes of cakes, pastries and loaves. Each spool is made from 100% cotton and is the perfect tool for gift wrapping, craft projects, or even use in the garden.

About Nutscene
Nutscene are located in the rural Scottish county of Angus, where they produce all of their twine using their original machinery, first used in 1922. Since their inception they have produced a range of high quality twines and employed local people. They produce their luxury spools with only ethically sourced materials from sustainable crops. Jute, in particular, is an environmentally beneficial crop – it is rain fed, fast growing, will grow on wastelands and improves the soil for future crops. It also reduces CO2.
Nutscene’s eclectic range of practical gifts utilises natural materials where possible, incorporating FSC wood, biodegradable jute and recycled cotton twines.

ABOUT LAMP LDN:
Our Mission
We are committed to providing a space where you can shop for beautiful products that have been made in a way that is sustainable for the planet and kind to the people on it.
We source our products from independent designers mostly in the UK and Europe. We always look for local (UK based) options before we look further afield. We also try to support new and emerging brands and makers. Most of our products are made in small production runs, by artisans or the designer themselves. Where larger manufacturers are involved we ensure that they adhere a fair and transparent supply chain and do not use sweatshops, trafficked, bonded, child or forced labour.
