The interlacing rows of symmetrical stems in ‘Poppies’ are inspired by formal gardening and offer a contemporary take on a classic Arts and Crafts style. Originally one of Ellen’s hand printed linocuts, this design has been faithfully reproduced using a traditional roller printing technique dating back over 100 years, using non-toxic water based inks on FSC certified paper.
Wallpaper is hand printed to order so lead time is 6-8 weeks

Ellen Merchant is a decorative artist, designer and printmaker based in London. Ellen creates unique artwork with a decorative aesthetic that pays homage to the British Arts and Crafts movement. She is especially takes inspiration from a love of antique textiles and botanical forms.

We source our products from independent designers mostly in the UK and Europe. We always look for local (UK based) options before we look further afield. We also try to support new and emerging brands and makers. Most of our products are made in small production runs, by artisans or the designer themselves. Where larger manufacturers are involved we ensure that they adhere a fair and transparent supply chain and do not use sweatshops, trafficked, bonded, child or forced labour.
