Morocco: A Photo Diary
We spent a week in beautiful Morocco wandering through the souks and drinking in the culture. Inspired by the local ceramics and colours we now stock our own statement candlesticks, handmade exclusively for LAMP LDN just outside Marrakesh.Â
We were invited by our friend and brilliant photographer Sandra fom Divine Day Photography to style her workshop at Hotel Les Deux Tours. Teaming up with another great creative friend, Jess of The Lucas Studio, to bring a look together.Â
Packing a few things in our suitcase – Ottoline fabric for a table cloth and Colours of Arley for the cushions, Ester & Erik candles, Issy Granger napkins, and our favourite vintage mid century green stem glasses. And then went shopping and forraging for the rest.Â
It was really important that we used local flowers as so much is imported into Morocco – which is crazy when you see masses of Bougainvillea and roses around every corner. Laura from The Bloom Room Marrakech came to help Jess work on the flowers while we we picked the perfect pieces to style the table with from the Medina.
We met a great guy who helped us pull together a range of tradional Tameghroute in perfect LAMP colours – we used some in our styling for the shoot and commissioned lots more, together with some great striped tumblers. Each piece made by hand just outside Marrakech and now exclusively available from us in store and online. Â
