Ellen Merchant’s Nomad design is a bright and playful interpretation of embroidered, decorative tribal textiles, featuring wild climbing vines with hanging fruits and flowers. The original artwork was hand drawn by Ellen using oil pastils and pencils, before being screen printed by hand onto ivory 100% linen to create a striking and characterful fabric. This design is also available to order as a wallpaper. Samples are available for immediate dispatch. For hand printed fabrics, please allow a lead time of 6-8 weeks. Minimum order: 1m.

Ellen Merchant is a decorative artist, designer and printmaker based in London. Ellen creates unique artwork with a decorative aesthetic that pays homage to the British Arts and Crafts movement. She is especially takes inspiration from a love of antique textiles and botanical forms.

We source our products from independent designers mostly in the UK and Europe. We always look for local (UK based) options before we look further afield. We also try to support new and emerging brands and makers. Most of our products are made in small production runs, by artisans or the designer themselves. Where larger manufacturers are involved we ensure that they adhere a fair and transparent supply chain and do not use sweatshops, trafficked, bonded, child or forced labour.
